The roar of a lion at 4am is extraordinary alone — but around a camp fire with twelve people who heard it too, it becomes a story you will all tell for the rest of your lives. The Group Mara Expedition is designed for friends, colleagues, alumni groups, and extended families who want to experience Kenya together without sacrificing quality.
Two dedicated vehicles, two expert guides, a private camp allocation, and a group dinner under the Mara stars. The price reflects the economy of group travel without the compromise of mass tourism. Maximum 16 guests, minimum 8.
Two private 4x4 vehicles depart Nairobi in convoy. The groups split naturally — some travelling by vehicle tend to bond over the journey itself. Arrive at the Mara by early afternoon. Camp briefing. Evening game drive split across two vehicles for maximum wildlife coverage.
Dawn game drives with split vehicles covering different areas and sharing sightings over radio. The guides coordinate — if one vehicle finds a leopard, both converge. Bush breakfast in the field. Afternoon at leisure at camp before sundowner drives.
Morning game drive then a dedicated Maasai village immersion — not a tourist stop but a genuine arranged visit with a local Maasai family who explain their culture, traditions, and relationship with the wildlife. Afternoon drives in the private conservancy.
A full day of game drives culminating in the signature group experience: a private bush dinner set up in the field by the camp team. Long table, lanterns, wine, and the sounds of the Mara all around you. A night drive follows.
A final morning drive before convoy return to Nairobi. The journey back is full of the highlights being replayed and debated — who saw the leopard first, which elephant was closest, who fell asleep during the night drive.
