Nairobi National Park — lions against a city skyline — is a concept that still astonishes adults. For children it is simply magic. Game drive through the park in the morning. Afternoon at the Nairobi National Museum's natural history collection.

Charter flight to the Mara. Children peer from the plane windows as the city gives way to the rift valley escarpment. Your family tented suite at the luxury camp has interconnecting rooms, child-safe nets, and a private terrace.

The centrepiece family experience. Your guide delivers the Junior Ranger programme: tracking animals by footprint, learning birdcalls, studying insects, understanding the food chain from the ground up. The programme culminates in a formal Junior Ranger certificate ceremony.
